Safe to Delete Tracks?

In my Saved Games/DCS/Tracks/Multiplayer I have trk files building up I guess from all my multiplayer sessions can I delete all those trk files in the folder?

 

Just doing some cleanup of old crash file dumps and wondered if its possible and safe to delete them.

It is, if you don't plan on reviewing them at a later point.

Myself, I have track writing disabled altogether: I use an autoexec.cfg in my Config folder with the line "disable_write_track = true" in it ;-)

On my desktop, I created a file named Delete MP Tracks.bat.

And added 1 line:

del /s /q "C:\Users\{your-user-name}\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Tracks\Multiplayer\"

Sometimes I click on it and remove all trk files. For example I forgot it until I see this thread. All trk files size was 3.1GB. Thanks for heads-up. :)

 

I use this way because sometimes I use trk files for making video.

You can disable track recording.

9if your on mp servers. And would like to fly their mission offline you can. Use your trk file from that. Misssiion too create the mission on your hardddrive unlesss they disabled the trk too miz feature. All you have to do is rename the trk file to miz.
