WeakLink Posted July 24, 2018 Posted July 24, 2018 Not a Multiplayer, wish I had the skills but for right now SP is the order of the day but I wish the developers could if possible put a delay in the start engine time. That is if the takeoff is 1000Hrs the mission start would be 15 mins before ( 0945) Takeoff. This would allow engine start up and system checkout and be able to make takeoff time a little closer to real. At the moment a Takeoff from the ramp puts me up to 12 minute behind the curve. I have been using unrealistic GS (in the flight plan for takeoff and climb out WP 1 and 2) to attempt a reasonable waypoint arrival time for climb out and then using airspeed and turn short to make up time. If you use on the RWY takeoff all is fine, with a 2-3 late arrival time but trying to get the engine start up and system checks done with takeoff from ramp is tough. Now it there is another way to stay on flight plan timing with a takeoff from ramp start please pass it on.
Frederf Posted July 25, 2018 Posted July 25, 2018 Ground waypoint tasks would be an excellent addition. "Delay on ground engine off" "Delay on ground engine on" would be very useful. Fifteen minutes for Mirage is good pace. AI is departing parking in 60 seconds, an impossible pace. Another good thing about tasks with durations is that the automatic time over waypoint times get updated appropriately. No more "start up and be 100 miles away in X minutes as if you did Y speed from the git go."
