I’m having a lot of micro stutter ever since the release of 2.50. No change to graphic settings seems to help. I can run on maximum settings with a very good frame rate, mostly 60fps. But I always experience and intermittent stutter and sometimes the game just freezes, ctrl alt del to task manager will unfreeze it.

hit Lalt+Enter enter while flying and see if the stutter disappears.

Tried that but it didn’t have an effect. Is that command changing out of full screen to windowed borderless?

yeah... i have fullscreen unchecked on my setup.. but i do see micro-stuttering and an increase cpu usage if i Lalt+enter into fullscreen mode while flying.. less so in the latest update,... but still there... in borderless windowed mode it runs smooth as silk though...

So, any news to this? Is Eagle Dynamics working on it?

A lot of people seem to have the same problem (me too).

Got better when I increased the preload radius and activated V-Sync (reluctant).

Hello everyone!

I have stutters and freezes of DCS as well, it is very annoying and unplayable. I add that my game is crashing sometimes too.

I have tried so many things to get the game works properly but anything is working, so I hope someone will find a solution or that the game will be patched very soon.

Had some major framerates drop and huge stutters on a (VR) mission just now. This after about a hour and a half into the mission. Happily had task manager running at the time to view my GPU.

Stutters occurred when 3D engine maxed out and at the same time, on board VRAM (6GB) hit 100%

I guess its using pagefiles to boost VRAM from disk and that's where the stuttering is coming from

I am pretty sure after days of testing, that the main reason for stutters is that

some situations / terrains jump from 20 to 50 FPS all the time.

Either 30 or if possible 60 stable and constant, only this guarantees fluidity.

(for a 60 Hertz monitor).
