BlacleyCole Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 Several of the training missions start with an intro and or welcome and have the press spacebar to continue. In the huey I was able to bypass it since it doesn’t work on my laptop for some reason. But in the yak-52 I tried several techniques to bypass it and no joy. Does anyone know why it doesn’t work like it supposed to I’ve waited several seconds after the audio stopped in the 10sec timeframe BlackeyCole 20years usaf XP-11. bolek Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 Make sure that spacebar is not bound to anything in the input controls.
Frederf Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 Sometimes the situation isn't robust. I've had missions of my own design where the trigger didn't fire or the flag being set didn't do the right thing. Very very brief space bar presses or just the wrong situation might end up skipping it. Often just repeating the mission allows it to work. If none of these space bar skips works it's probably because DCS is looking for a different input than what it's telling you to do. Example the A-10C tutorials say "press spacebar to continue" but really they want you to pull the gun trigger. Space bar is only the default keyboard key for gun trigger so if you change that then when it says press space, pull trigger. And I found at least in the MiG that it will disable the normal use of the space bar (I had it to reset caution light) if it's using that key for logic trigger purposes at that moment.
