Everyone has seen it an knows it. You do a cold & dark, the sun is at you back and at least on the DDIs you see absolutely nothing.

What gets me more is that that tiny undersized yellow cursor, especially when turning green while hovering above the "helpers", is practically even less visible in those conditions.

I've seen some VR recorded footage in YouTube and I was astonished by the utterly massive size of the cursor including even some kind of shade around it that makes is very visible while on the other hoof, on an ordinary 24" screen with a decent S-IPS panel, I tremendously struggle keeping track of the cursor which increases the time needed for some simple cockpit input to almost infinite.

Worst case is when it's around the colored map on the AMPCD.

I just don't even want to imagine how this is on a 4k res screen. Must be absolutely horrible.

I'd highly appreciate to be able to customize the cursor in size, maybe even color or give it some kind of shadow or whatever, just to make it more visible.

PS: This is a common issue, but most prevalent in the Hornet which is why I dropped it here. Plus it's the flagship module being taken care of the most at the moment dealwithit.png

I must admit that I don't bring the best hardware with my Mk. Ib eyeballs.

But having watched some older 1.5 or even 1.2 tutorial videos in order to relearn some modules I noticed that before 2.x the cursor size was about twice as large as it is now. I would really appreciate to get an option to have the bigger cursor back, it's like 20 Lots more visible than the one in 2.5. Pun clearly intended.

I mean, what's that GUI scale checkbox for? I guess it makes the GUI elements look like 1080p on 4k screens, but why isn't it possible to enlarge the elements even on 1080p or 1920x1200? My suggestion would be to remove that option and put a slider there instead that goes from 1x to 4x so everyone could scale up the UI to their likings.
