Ramstein Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 Saitek X52 Pro Profile Setup Question. I just changed to the new Saitek Beta Software, Drivers, and Profile. I had TDS Slew and the HUD cursor working with the mini-stick ont he throttle. Now I cannot get that to work to move the cursor around on the Aircraft. I was able to move the Marker stuff on the HUD using the mini-stick, with the previous Saitek Profile with the non-Beta software. Anyone got this X52 Pro with Beta Software mini-stick working properly? All other functions work properly. I had to start from scratch because the Saitek people made the new profile software incompatible with the non-Beta slightly older software. :joystick: Thanx... wasserfall Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 Profile Unforunately i don't know, because i have the same problem!! and in the beta software the graphic image of the hotas has gone!! RentAcoW Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 Lock on doesn't allow two joysticks on one controller, I think. In the previous version this was default and you just set the TDS to mouse control IN GAME. It used "Saitek magic mouse" which may not be in the new beta. I'm not sure, but you should be able to (in the profile editor) tell the ministick to be a mouse. You'll just need to experament. I downloaded the beta before, but went back to the previous version because I'm too lazy to remake my profile, so I only used it for a few hours getting it setup and never checked what all was diffrent from the previous version. Sorry I couldn't be any more help.
Ramstein Posted May 14, 2007 Author Posted May 14, 2007 Snapshots of the Target Cursor in the HUD that Slew using the mini-stick on the Saitek Throttle. I took the snapshot to show what it is I am talking about. Instead of moving the aircraft, you can move the aquisition cursor. But, I lost the ability to do this and need help to find out what I am doing wrong in my setup. In the LockOn setup menu, I am unable to select the mini-stick in the keyboard and joystick setup controller menu. I tried taking a snapshot of the controller menu setup in LockOn, but was unable to. Ramstein Posted May 14, 2007 Author Posted May 14, 2007 Instead of moving the aircraft to line up with the target aquisition cursor, you can move the cursor to the target by slew it with the mini-stick on the joystick-throttle. But, now I can't make that slew any longer. I used the Saitek Profile software,, it wil not work. I tried setting it up int he in game menu, and it wil not recognize the mini-stick. I am stumped. I had this working before I change to the Saitek Beta software. :joystick: ASUS Strix Z790-H, i9-13900, WartHog HOTAS and MFG Crosswind G.Skill 64 GB Ram, 2TB SSD EVGA Nvidia RTX 2080-TI (trying to hang on for a bit longer) 55" Sony OLED TV, Oculus VR

zaelu Posted May 14, 2007 Posted May 14, 2007 why dont you use bands? I use the mouse function from it to do this as it was sugested for you a little bit up. Ramstein Posted May 14, 2007 Author Posted May 14, 2007 why dont you use bands? I use the mouse function from it to do this as it was sugested for you a little bit up. In the mini-stick profile the bands don't make ministick work in LockOn. I tried explaining that. I know how to make bands. I have had Saitek sticks and setup profiles since my first Saitek HOTAS in 2000. Ramstein Posted May 15, 2007 Author Posted May 15, 2007 I think I found my problem,, I tired the Bands again, before, but I only used 1 split band with 50% each side (left-right)(up-down) but: I forgot to put a middle band in as a neutral band. So: the new bands are : Up (0-40 %) : (40-60%) : Down (60-100%). same with Left : Right (3 band set 0-100%). There must be a middle band set with no key sets for that middle set. I have attached a picture. Now it slews properly with the mini-stick .. as it did before witht he older profile software in LockOn. Ramstein Posted May 20, 2007 Author Posted May 20, 2007 I am having some problems, with my New Saitek Profile (Saitek Beta Drivers and Software) crashing my computer with my LockOn:FC Profile. I would like to know anyone else using the Beta and with the X52 Pro to try it and also if you update it, make it better, or have one of your own to share. Thanx.. Here is where the Saitek Forum is: http://www.saitekforum.com/ MY Profiles are attached in a previous post in this thread. :joystick: ASUS Strix Z790-H, i9-13900, WartHog HOTAS and MFG Crosswind G.Skill 64 GB Ram, 2TB SSD EVGA Nvidia RTX 2080-TI (trying to hang on for a bit longer) 55" Sony OLED TV, Oculus VR
Ramstein Posted May 21, 2007 Author Posted May 21, 2007 Update: Hi, I don't know why this problem started, but recently my pedals, if enable before I start the PC Flight Simulator LockOn: Flaming Cliffs, the computer crashes and reboots when I start the game. If I do not enable the pedals, int he profile, and only use the pedals formt he sertup int eh ingame menu, I have no problems. I have no idea why I can no longer use the pedals profile, I was able to up until a few days ago. :( Oh well, thought I would at least leave a forum post about it. I am now using the Beta Software and Drivers for my Saitek X52 Pro and Saitek Pedals. I use WinXP 32. I have been using Saitek stick for 7 years and have been flying this sim since it came out many years ago, so it is not new to me. Ramstein Posted May 21, 2007 Author Posted May 21, 2007 Hi, Update: All is fixed and working properly! :) I found the problem,, the profile for some reason stopped working correctly, and when I enabled the Pedals profile for LockOn, it cause the computere to crash. I made a new profile. All Fixed. Though I still amd not sure what happend. But, it was my fault, I think I overwrote the profile with some bad setup data.
