Ares72 Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 Hello all! With the latest windows and steam vr update I can not zoom in the cockpit with the Samsung Odyssey. I try to explain myself: when I approach the head to see the mfd, for example, the whole cockpit moves forward keeping the same dimensions ... it's like pushing it forward. Same for the side movements. Do any of you have the same problem?

I've had it happen a couple of times and it's normally easy to fix by re-running the setup, for me I just go to Windows Mixed Reality and click run set up, click seated and then click centre and it starts tracking properly again.

Zikous82 Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 I have the same issue. Same headset. I can turn my head around with no problems, but when I move a head in any direction the whole cockpit moves with me. Sometimes It works fine, but mostly this issue shows just shortly after entering the game. I've tried to run the set up again, reinstall the drivers again, but the problem is still there... :(
have_quick Posted October 5, 2018 Posted October 5, 2018 Make sure that there is enough light in the room, this happens to me when I forget to turn a light on. The Odyssey headsets need light for the camera tracking to work correctly
backspace340 Posted October 5, 2018 Posted October 5, 2018 You're both describing the headset being in 3DOF mode (which it does when the cameras can't track / the setup needs to be run).
Vannipo Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 Hi Ares72. Does this problem exist in other titles? Seems, like many wrote before, that ur head is not position tracked. Just Gyro tracked. And just to be sure: You can ZOOM in with a hotkey in DCS. For reading small informations, you dont have to lean forward. You are not talking about zoom. You talk about camera movement. Zoom is not Movement.
Ares72 Posted October 7, 2018 Author Posted October 7, 2018 Hi all and thanks for the answers! I've resolved the problem simply running the steam vr tutorial... I know it seems stupid, but now it works correctly No problems with others titles, but I don’t play a lot with others games...
Vannipo Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 Dont forget the VR-Zoom function in DCS. I have it on TAB. Accessable at any time, any circumstances.
