An issue I have always had, but has now been plaguing me more often, is long loading pauses in Multiplayer.

My Rift headset will freeze or go completely black, showing an hourglass symbol. These freezes range from half a second to something as long as 10 seconds.

Of course the simulation continues in the background and I'm pretty sure it still responds to my control inputs during the "black-out".

Yesterday my headset went black during a dogfight causing me to crash.

I'm sure that this is a multiplayer thing, as it doesn't happen in single player.

Does anyone else have this problem and is it solved on DCS or Oculus side? Or is it even VR specific?

Freezes happen with me on single, running smooth fps and it will randomly freeze for much more than 10s sometimes, oculus goes black at times. When I am about to give up and close it resumes normally. Then nothing happens next day, same mission. Maybe someone could shed some light.

Yep lots of pauses - the main culprit right now seems to be either when pilots eject or damage models load. They do happen in SP though in SP the game pauses, so it's not as lethal, in MP the game keeps running and inputs do still have effects. I've flown into the ground plenty of times - the current freezes seem to have been introduced when they put the memory manager in, I had no issues before that (but I have 32gb RAM, so I never had any memory problems).

Same here. Big pauses when anyone ejects or has damage. I'd rather just wait the longer loading time and load all that stuff up at the start.

I have the same problem, but it usually crashes DCS like hardcore. I also recently have been having issues with the mouse clicking on the taskbar. Does everyone here use an oculus? I am in a CV1

After you experience the pause please attach your dcs.log

we should see from the timestamps what is going on during the pause
