If anybody here have tested make mission with the Steel Beasts editor. They have a option called LOS mode: https://goo.gl/images/uiQ6BJ This make the life so easy for ground units in the editor. Zayets Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 If you add the units manually in ME this should not be a problem as you can avoid placing them in the forest areas. If you want to spawn them automatically, your best bet would be to create some spawn zones which are not in forest areas (or building areas). [sIGPIC]OK[/sIGPIC]
pepin1234 Posted August 20, 2018 Author Posted August 20, 2018 There are some spread trees they are not on the editor map. So even taking care of the map paint we can get the unit in the wrong spot. Mountains, buildings could be a problem too [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Delta99 Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 There are script functions that can tell if a unit is on water or land. But we need it expanded to tell if in town (or building) or forest or whatever other information can be given. A request was made for a change by one of the mods.
