EcceHomo Posted September 5, 2018 Posted September 5, 2018 When AI F-15C launches AIM-120, the CW of my F-18C will light up. The CW light indicates that I was irradiated by CW radar, but during the AIM-120 launch, the F-15C did not have CW or intermittent CW exposure.Is this CW lamp response right？

The AIM120 has a Datalink capability between the launching aircraft and itself that can provide the missile with target information until the missile turns on its own seeker. This information is obtaines by the launching aircraft by illuminating the target with its ownship radar

The radar shows that the F-15C is still 10 nautical miles away. The introduction to the CW lamp in the manual is for continuous wave radar.
