After trying to run the first of the SU27 training missions, my pc crashes to desktop.

I currently have been playing online fine and done the A10 training.

I have 2gig ram, 256mb x1800 vid card. Lock on FC installed with patch 1.12a

Any idea where to start looking for a problem causing these crashes?

Another thing that used to make Lock On Crash was when I tried to add Thunderstorms to my mission It crashes at the end of loading, screen goes black for a sec as if you were alt+tabing out and than the Microsoft Send report window comes up, no particular error.

Don't know what PSU stands for, my CPU is an AMD 64 3500+

I messed around with it a bit last night, I turned down my resolution and it loaded fine. I than quit the mission and turned setings back up and it was still working fine.

I was just checking for perhaps a well known bug/fix but my OS has been running for about a year now so it would probably be faster to just reformat and start with a clean install rather than try and fix any kind of software issues.

Power Supply Unit - I had issues in the past similar to what you described which I tracked down to the PSU not providing enough power to the works.
