Default head position too high in the Viggen

Hey everybody,

I feel that the default center head position in the Viggen, when I center my Track IR, is way too high. Important information in the HUD is therefor not visible if I dont' lower my head or recenter my Track IR while stretching my head upwards.

 

I have now watched a handful of youtube videos where the pilots seem to have a lower, more adequate position.

 

Can this be adjusted? Seat height for example?

Found it in the control setup, but is there an actual switch in the cockpit aswell?

I think the switch on the left side of the seat (just below the left ejection handle) is for seat adjustment although it's not working now.

 

I agree it would be good to have a physical switch like in the F/A-18.

Also, find an optimal head position and press R alt + keypad 0 and you will never again think about it.

Also, remember that the HUD has 2 height settings as well. And defaults to the lower of the two.
