hitman; I'm glad to hear that you got your new laptop.. And I'm sorry that you haveing problems installing Lock On.. I have issues there as well..

I 'm not getting any responce from any of the E-mails that I sent to ED...

And after spending about $ 43.00 USD and still no joy, well I guess this is par for the course..

It looks like I'm just going to have to bite the bullet on this one.. If I don't hear from them soon I think I'm going to buy the CD instead...

Well good luck Bro, and I hope that it works out for you ...

Man this is sweet. Got LoMAC installed finally (thanks rugg), tried it out and DAYAM! W/O AA or AS I was getting around 50-60 average fps over cities with everything set to high (except water and no heat blur) with a few units flying around. Got average of 20fps on the Su-25t cruiser hunt with aa and ao turned on at 4x each, never even dipped lower than 18.

Cant wait till my other laptop comes in from the repair yard, I got better ram that has low latency that I can put in this one. :D

ASUS P5K MB

Pilotasso:

I would be VERY interested to here how that P5K Deluxe (P35)chipset works out for you.

I am building a new rig also in one month and I am looking at the Nv 680 chipset (Core2 E6600 cpu).

Appreciate any info you can give ?

Especially about memory OC with that chipset ?

I read it is quite the promising chipset.

Rgr chris, I have the mobo for a week (need the CPU and the drives due to arrive today) Ill write a full review of all components as soon as I can see them performing.

The Info I got about the P35 chipset and this particular MOBO is that it provides 5% to 11% more memory bandwith independently of the memory type used (as compared to the same memories used on other motherboards from the previous gen). It apears to overclock to record levels, but it excells with the QUAD, where the 680i would barely hit the 300MHz barrier with a QUAD (unexplicable barrier by the reviewers since the duo could go as high as 500MHZ of FSB) the P5K delux allows any quad to exceed well above 333FSB (up to 500MHz if you realy want to) thus resulting the 1333 FSB wich it officialy suports for new upcoming CPU's(quad pumped) , giving similar results with a current quad as if you had installed a yet to release QX6850 CPU instead.

I have read reviews where this Mobo Overclocked CPU's with a massive 600Mhz FSB and up to 3.7MHz on the Core2duo, all on air cooling (you need more fans though).

This MOBO also Supports Penryn 45nm CPU's wich all other Chipsets wont, even 680i.

Of course this depends from config to config, Ill have yet to see if mine can do it with acceptable temperatures. The cooler will be Tuniq tower 120.
