At mission load, when it gets too the end of ( world preload ) it is causing my computer to shutdown. I not talking crashing to desktop, I mean complete shutdown. At first it was doing it only with f/a 18 mission and I thought it was the aircraft itself, but now it can happen with any mission. It's now starting to scare me, because sometimes I am having trouble restarting my computer, and like today it took me more than an hour to boot up again.

This problem is only with DCS

See if you can get the dcs.log file from

C:\users\USER\savedg games\dcsVERSION\logs\dcs.log

Might help find the problem.

Control is an illusion which usually shatters at the least expected moment.

Gazelle Mini-gun version is endorphins with rotors. See above.

Currently rolling with a Asus Z390 Prime, 9600K, 32GB RAM, SSD, 2080Ti and Windows 10Pro, Rift CV1. bu0836x and Scratch Built Pedals, Collective and Cyclic.

Look at your windows event log. If it's not giving you any clues, it's hardware.

initial thoughts are:

USB - some device, maybe not even a controller.

Heat - Are you running any heat monitors?

Power * most likely guess. How big is the supply for the load, and how old is it.

You could try lowering the clock on the video card.

That's where I would start anyway.

DCS is demanding. It can cause a system to stroke out when other games dont.

Good luck!
