Colt40Five Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 From the 1970's even! I don't know why, but when I'm working on a mission pack I feel like I need a new skin to muck about with...guess I just like change of scenery...I went to bizzaro world for this one! And if anyone has a good f-14 style "rescue" graphic (the arrow and boxes on the forward fuselage) I'd love a copy. Can't find one so I drew my own, but they're not great... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Colt40Five Posted June 1, 2007 Author Posted June 1, 2007 Thanks! So no one has/knows where I can get the graphic I mentioned above?? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Starlight Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 painting the Flanker with Tomcat's camo schemes makes one realize why one of the earliest nicknames of the Su-27 (given by US aircrews) was Tomcatskji... it can look very very similar from certain angles. Not to start a flame about similar (or cloned) aircraft, BTW, the Flanker wasn't certainly copied from the Tomcat...

Colt40Five Posted June 1, 2007 Author Posted June 1, 2007 I think the comparison came from the common lack of a normal fuselage in favor of the wide-slung engines with a lift-generating fuselage. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
