hannibal Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 (edited) congrats to ED, heatblur and all DCS devs. it seems like DCS world is getting alot more attention. i hear the free weekend for F18 and PG on steam was a success. this recent F14 announcement has grabbed casual player's headlines, from kotaku to PCgamer.. I WRITE THIS THREAD TO CALL SOME KIND OF ATTENTION. the attention for potential new pilots and gamers. I have played DCS over the years, and it had many of hiccups, which i was forgiving of because i understand that flight sims are a difficult monster, next to niche. missions and tutorial vidoes have been great to introduce new players. i hope there will be more features that will make it easier for new people to get into the sim. I think SRS should have been integrated into DCS. dedicated servers should have been already available at this point, where i have read in the threads that multiplayer code still has alot of room for improvement. i am still personally waiting for doorgunners have proper support in the huey and gazelle modules. im happy that F18 F14 are available.. but at the same time, i wish that the base game was more complete of items that would support stable base, and be more accomodating of new people getting into DCS. of course i know those items are being worked on, and time will come. i just hate to see new (and old) people get turned of by items that didnt have to be incomplete or broken... but i am grateful for everything that DCS has brought to us, i look forward to the tomcat, AH1 cobra.. :) Edited October 10, 2018 by hannibal find me on steam! username: Hannibal_A101A http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197969447179
