thrustvector Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 just checked for you, working fine, did you remember to switch of external and ask ground crew as well?
xavnl Posted October 25, 2018 Author Posted October 25, 2018 I checked it again, after a DCS repair (you never know). I used the instant action cold start mission. Steps: Radio command with the ground crew to connect the ground power. Action ok. Do nothing. Radio command with the ground crew to disconnect the ground power. Action ok. Radio command with the ground crew to connect the ground power. Action ok. Following the checklist and starting both engines. When reaching the disconnect external power step, radio command with the ground crew to disconnect the ground power is not working. Ground crew will not acknoledge and power supply will stay connected. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
thrustvector Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 cant remember the exact name but you have 2 switches to activate on the nav side, one by the battery switches and one down behind shoulder, lower panel middle switch, this is probably the prob....maybe :)
lmp Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 I'm not 100% sure but I think you have to talk to them over the interphone after the engines are started.
xavnl Posted October 25, 2018 Author Posted October 25, 2018 Ah! That's a good one, How am I suppose to do that? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

lmp Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 There are several ways to do this. I flip the RADIO/ICS switch to ICS and use the ALT + \ menu. The SPU-7 intercom system is described in detail on page 108 of the manual, I recommend reading up on it.

Where is it written in the manual that crew has to communicate with the crew chief via ICS once the engines are running? Thanks. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
lmp Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 I don't think it is written anywhere and it didn't work like that earlier but it used to be like that in the original Black Shark release (don't know if it changed since) which gave me the idea to try it. It does make sense if you think about it, them engines are loud.
gulredrel Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 Haven't used external power for a while, but isn't it the laryngophone switch on the right triangular panel to contact ground crew after engine startup?
lmp Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 No, the laryngophone switch has nothing to do with it.
