Stealth Clobber Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 When I try to install 1.12b (also, it says 1.12a on the top of the installer) on a fresh install of LO:FC, i get an error message that says this. "Error Occured during installation. Error Code is 3. Setup is not completed." :helpsmilie:
SuperKungFu Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 Yes it will still say 1.12a since the changes between 1.12a and 1.12b is just some vista compatibilty issue. As for that error, how did you install lock on? It should have been 1.00 original,. 1.1 Flaming Cliffs, and then the 1.12b patch. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Stealth Clobber Posted June 10, 2007 Author Posted June 10, 2007 I didn't use any sort of download manager or accelerator. I bought FC, downloaded it overnight, and have been installing it since.
Prophet Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 Are you downloading the right patch? Did you install FC from a download or CD? Make sure you get the patch that goes with the FC version you have.

I did a search of your problem and many stated ED's server sucks right now (it has for a while) and a lot of people get the error code 3- most of them was due to a download accelerator. I believe someone on this forum offers the FC download once you show him proof of purchase with your cd key blacked out. I forgot who was it though, in the meantime, you could do a search for that topic. Or keep trying, redownload FC again, and install 1.00 and then FC without patching, and try to run it again (just to make sure its not the patch's fault) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

I mean... thanks. Lol. I re-downloaded both FC and the patch from the Russian links and they both work now. Спасибо!
