Lss mode in tgt can not pick up láser from fac

I can not pick a láser bean from a fac with tgt in lss mode.

I follow the process explained in manual .Somebody could help me.Thanks in avance

Please attach a track file so we can see what you're doing.

 

In general:

With an MFD set to display the TGP, select the AG page followed by the CNTL page.

 

Type the desired 4-digit laser code into the CDU scratchpad using either the UFC or the CDU itself.

 

Press the OSB corresponding to "LSS" to store the desired laser code. You should see the 4-digit code you entered appear under "LSS" on the screen.

 

Exit the CNTL page by pressing and return to AG. Slew your TGP into the general target area. Press the OSB labeled "LSS" to search for the laser code.

i have did that you say but lss never pick a laser bean.

I watched the track. LSS finds no laser because there's no laser to find.

 

"Soldier M4" doesn't have a laser.

This particular unit doesn't have line of sight.

You never talk to JTAC.

JTAC never tries to turn laser on.

 

You won't get any laser from JTAC until you hear him say "laser on."

What sort of groups from vehicles or infantry are enable to work like fac /jtac in a mission?

I say that because i need that they can manage láser or ir pointer before place them in ME

I know the HMMWV TOW does. The logic for which units have or don't have laser isn't very good. You may want to set TOW option "hold fire" or they may kill the target. UI will also give you warning if LOS to target is available or not.

 

If you are just trying LSS then realize they will turn on laser for marking (to help you find it) and then turn laser off after. JTAC will not provide laser designation for the actual weapon release (after cleared hot).
