How do you expect to understand complex technical documents that will be required to know for a fighter pilot ? And you're 21 already ? If you plan on ever becoming a pilot in RUAF you need to hurry up, like right away. Warning: The following might cause stupidity http://youtube.com/watch?v=25LceCPO1ys

If you plan on ever becoming a pilot in RUAF you need to hurry up, like right away. Well when i deployed to Iraq i asked my parents to go out and buy RUssian laguage books and math and science books. Well its been about two monts and no one sends me nothing . My parents gave reason they could notfind time because they are constantly busy. During those two months i called them and kept reminding them. Well they kept telling they are really busy. I do have some free time even though i work 12 hours every day! I cant order because no one likes to send FPO addresses unless its military gear! |Windows 8 64bit|I7-950| |X58Mobo| |1T HDD| |18gigs PC3-16000 TC 2000mhz||Nvidia GTX 660 Ti Graphics||Cougar HOTAS-CHPedals/TIR5ProClip|

hitman Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Raised, your better off talking to your career officer if your looking to get into aircraft piloting. He'll tell you that the best way to do this is to get your bachelors degree in any field to qualify for an officers billet. You "can" go through Gunner School and eventually get rated (if your ASVAAB scores rate high enough after testing for class) for a rotary wing. OR if you recieve a full commission you can test for aircraft aviation. To qualify for anything, though, you HAVE to be an NCO and have good PFT scores with good pros and cons. Raised_Dead85 Posted June 17, 2007 Author Posted June 17, 2007 LOL im sorry but i dont quite understand. Are you talking about comparison to flight model of real to a sim? |Windows 8 64bit|I7-950| |X58Mobo| |1T HDD| |18gigs PC3-16000 TC 2000mhz||Nvidia GTX 660 Ti Graphics||Cougar HOTAS-CHPedals/TIR5ProClip|
Geier Posted June 18, 2007 Posted June 18, 2007 LOL im sorry but i dont quite understand. Are you talking about comparison to flight model of real to a sim? Yes, I meant this:)
Raised_Dead85 Posted June 19, 2007 Author Posted June 19, 2007 Hey Eugene the sim and real flight model was abit different from each other. I had force when i made turns and i had to use the car steering device which was kinda ackward including the peddals. I never used peddals before so it was little bit hard to control. As far as the flight dynamics was similar like the dials like the speed indicator, pitch and roll indicator, all was same as in SIM. Yeah you can feel the wind too which kinda made my hands all sweaty. It always gives me sweaty hands when i fly in any kind of aircraft but it goes away. Hey IguanaKing, We did have alot of officers come in and talk to us about all the possibilities to become a officer. But that was a long time ago and at the time i was interested but never end up talking to any of them. Its eighter they are too busy or i dint have time to go to talk to them. I already got my goal set in become Russian or Siberian fighter pilot. Its just matter of time and what i do to accomplish my goals. If everything else fails i will go and try to be a officer in USMC. I had alot of negativity toward me when i was young and trying to be a pilot. Now its all to me. My dad told me i wasnt the type but few years later when we talk he brought up that flying subject and appoligized and told me that i can do it. He even gave me some tips in to try get my private pilot license. I am very interested in going and youre plan sounds great. I have to hold of for a while until i learn some Russian. I should retain it fast because most people believe that. Hey IguanaKing i want to know more info just PM me! |Windows 8 64bit|I7-950| |X58Mobo| |1T HDD| |18gigs PC3-16000 TC 2000mhz||Nvidia GTX 660 Ti Graphics||Cougar HOTAS-CHPedals/TIR5ProClip|
Guest 555 Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 Although I don't have any official documentation on this, it is extremely unlikely (especially under the present Russian/US diplomatic situation) that the Russian Air Force would ever recruit an ex US marine. I doubt they have ever even recruited anyone except a born and bred Russian (or ex Soviet bloc) citizen. I'm generally just a reader of these forums but as someone who has a military background I feel obliged to say this - it's great to have dreams but they need to be grounded in reality, and the reality is that even as a fully fledged Russian citizen it's difficult enough to be accepted for pilot training. As an English speaking, American citizen with a background in the USMC? The chances are remote, to say the least.
