NWS HI toggle?

Hi, I'm using the tm warthog hotas, and the pinky button on the stick is activating NWS HI only when hold, if I release it goes back to regular NWS.

 

is this how it works? I thought it should press for NWS HI, press again for NWS.

Nope. That’s how it works. I believe on the carrier it will stay in HI once activated but on airfield it will only stay in Hi when the buttons is held.

It's a hold when the wings are locked, toggle when they're not.

btw you sure it's tied to wing fold? I can't test this right now, but I read somewhere that it could be tied to anti-skid instead

maybe it's tied to antikid on/off, i'VE also noted on the carrier pinky button on my TM Wartdog works as toggle

Yes. The wing position isn't actually important, it's just whether they're locked or not.

 

From the manual:

 

Holding the nosewheel steering button pressed selects the high mode (±75°) and NWS HI is displayed

on the HUD. With the wing handle unlocked and nosewheel steering in the low mode, pressing the

nosewheel steering button causes the nosewheel steering to go to the high mode where it remains

without holding the button pressed.
