I was wondering, up to which point are ground unit groups intelligent when it comes to communicating with each other? Do they warn each other of enemy presence?

 

Let me clarify my question a bit more.

 

I tried placing a group (6 units) of ground air-defense units (Shilka's) and placed them in a line approximately 2000 feet apart. When flying over them (in that same straight line) I noticed they all had to rotate their turrets to point at my aircraft. By the time they did that I was already out of range (going low and fast).

 

I was kinda hoping the first (lead) Shilka would communicate with the other 5 and warn them of my presence, so that their turrets could already turn towards me (just like in real life)
