Lixma 06 Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 Is there any way to remove the course line from the EHSD? Also the course knob won't let you click and drag very far so you end up using the mouse-wheel for coarse and fine adjustment; can this be improved?
Captain Orso Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 If you mean the lines between waypoints, MPSD -> EHSD -> SEQ When you hit the wrong button on take-off System Specs. Lixma 06 Posted November 30, 2018 Author Posted November 30, 2018 (edited) Thanks, Orso. I think this might better describe the 'issue'. This is a free-flight mission - no waypoints in the ME; just click & fly. I select a runway's TACAN beacon and then adjust the course knob to the runway heading. But now I am stuck with the course line on my EHSD. If I want to remove the course line from the TACAN page the only way seems to be selecting a different TACAN channel....and then change it back again. Which seems....odd. Edit:...or I can turn the TACAN off and on again with the UFCP (or whatever the keypad is called)....still seems odd. Edited November 30, 2018 by Lixma 06
Captain Orso Posted November 30, 2018 Posted November 30, 2018 I'm not the far in my learning --never worked with TACAN and all this modern gobbledie-gook stuff before  -- but I kind of think if you tell your NAV to use TACAN it kind of expects you to do that, otherwise, why turn it on? I'm in the same boat....I'm not sure if I'm encountering a problem or I'm just unfamiliar with the logic of the system.
