DPS Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 For those of you with FS9/FSX who want to try something a bit different (and older) from the Russian inventory the new AlphaSim Tu-22 is well worth a look. Their add-ons seem to go from strength to strength and for those buying in Sterling the Tu-22 costs only £17. The flight modelling seems to give a pretty good impression of how the Blinder might actually handle, i.e. not very easy to fly. I flew the approach at an eye watering 370 Kmph. And the model doesn’t seem to boast spoilers and brake-chute either. Here’s a little video I made with the model: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=CRvbNwBIXyg DPS. 1

DPS Posted June 23, 2007 Author Posted June 23, 2007 Better than my first touch-down, which was at the wrong end of the runway:megalol: I can pick out the skid marks on the higher definition WMV file :megalol: Thank goodness for the 'Y' key in FS9. Just slew it back to 10 kilometers and up to 500 metres and try again  DPS.
Shaman Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 It's also harder to "feel" the plane in FS2004 if you got used to flight models in LO. This Tu-22 looks like some very old version of the plane. Which one is it? Yeah, I like SLEW option too. I'd like to have it in Lock On at least in offline mode. You can find lots of uses for it. Have you ever tried B-1B by AlphaSim for FS2004/FSX? I love it. I think you should too.
