Rock the city. First "edited" attemp

Hi folks!

 

I bought Lock On a year ago and sold it, but suddenly wanted it again. Bought myselft FC and I am inside the Lock On universe again! :) :pilotfly:

 

Anywhy, this is not my first video (as you can see on Youtube), but my first attempt with added music and small editing. I played around with new cameraangles I learnt how to use in this forum so much appreciate all tips! I love to watch tutorials and such.

The CTRL + F11 takes some time to get use to, I have to use the scroolwheel on my mouse to follow the plane. I also wonder how I can get mousepanning a bit smoother? It gets a little "hard" when looking around with mouse. (Canґt find the right word sorry..hehe). Norwegian..my english is quit not what is used to be! :music_whistling:

cool vid, i like the top gun music, i think it suited it well. The end song sort of gave me a comic feel especially when you killed your wheels :P

The end track was kinda, well misplaced I know... I will try to edit the video once more or maybe take a trip again over the city and land without destroying my gear. I need to make larger entrance to the runway. Came in way to fast. Airbrake didnґt help so much ether as I was 700 mph or something when I approched the runway! :) hehe

Hehe...I think I meant km/t. Not sure what the russians use, is it knots? Is the F-15C speed in mps or km/t? Actually, I was flying in 250 ca. (bottom line S:250). Think I "bumped" the runway to hard...I bet I have something more to learn. I have printed the whole manual but it takes time to read and understand everything. Itґs that what I love with this game! So much to learn and master! :) I also donґt fully understand how you guys can see what aircraft that is in front of you 10-20 nm away. How do you see enemy from friendly aircraft? Visually or by radar?

250 is a good speed for landing the eagle. Least I think so.

 

You can identify with radar at that range. Should have burn thru if they're using ECM and you'll identify the enemy as being a triangle with a line coming off the front and friendly as a cirlce with that same line.

The Su-27 (and all Russian jets) indicate km/h, for the Su-27 the correct approach (downwind/baseleg) speed is around 300km/h, on final it is best to keep speed at 250km/h (depending on your speed). Before touchdown you flare and slow the aircraft down and finally you gently land with around 220km/h (again depending on your payload) with a nice NoseUp angle (I usually land with the IR sensor infront of your cockpit aligned with the horizon).

If you land this way correctly you shouldn't bounce, and certainly not loose your gear :P

Frazer: I know the sound! I have a mixture of both yours and Archers soundpack. Did this by a mistake. I had yours soundspack installed manually, then I got my hands of modman and installed archers soundpack via modman. I think it all got messed up as some sounds I don´t hear anymore (like the hilarious eject sound) but I got Archers sound for eject, and your g-effectbreathing. I quess I have to uninstall the game, and install it again, and then install what pack I like via modman. The way it is now is fine, but I really like the eject sound. Maybe I just need to delete archers sound of eject to got your back? I think some files are in *.ogg ann some in *.wav. I don´t know why Lock On chooses some sound over another as many has the same name but different filetype?

Well, if you installed Archers sounds over my sounds you can simply manually reinstall my sounds again and all should be fine. Lockon prefers ogg sounds over wav sounds by the way.
