MSI Afterburner makes TrackIR crash

Anyone here using Afterburner to monitor temps, usage, etc. with TrackIR?

Using the latest beta 4.6, after a couple of minutes, TrackIR just exits. I mean literally closes down. I have to exit DCS and reload TrackIR software.

So, basically I can't use Afterburner when running DCS with TrackIR now.

Anyone else experience this?

I'm running MSI Afterburner 4.5.0 and I also have trackir issues with it. If AB is running and I launch trackir it corrupts the display in the trackir console (see attach pic).

 

I also get trackir freezing and becoming unresponsive occasionally in DCS with AB running. Hopefully there's a solution for this. Maybe I'll try switching over to EVGA Precision XOC instead.

Precision works in the sense that it doesn't crash anything, but the fps counter doesn't work properly. It gives values that the others don't!

Still, I use the built-in fps in DCS and Precision to show GPU stats like temp, clock speed, etc.

Interestingly, after a suggestion on the guru3D forum, my issue has gone away.

Try adding TrackIR to the RTSS exclusion list by pressing shift+'add' in RTSS when TrackIR is running.

This is exactly what I did and also solved the problem. :thumbup:
