Chizh has agreed to have a look at the 2048 res template for flanker. Hopefully ED use it and we may have the 2048 res skins for flanker too:D

I do not understand in what a problem.

With the help of LOMAN utility it is possible to make textures in a file *.CDDS

Chizh , With LOMAN it is possible to insert skins that are of same RES in the cdds. BUT we cannot replace the low res images by high res ones...it does not accept; And if u noticce the SU 27 flanker (2048 skin) uncompressed is 24 MB. Due to which...there is a frame rate hit in the game. Hence It will be of easier process for the skinners...if ED devs can insert at LEAST the sample SU 25 high res (2048 res) skins in cdds so atleast we can modify the skins and have them compressed to avoid fps hits.

Hmmm strange...

It's problem of LOMAN, not LOCKON. LOCON support different textures resolution for each model.

Likely it is necessary to ask LOMAN developer that he has allowed to insert greater textures than original.

 

P.S.

We shall insert into 1.1 2048 textures for Su-27.

 

Can you inform where it is possible to take these big skins for Su-27? If they are well made we shall insert them in 1.1

Chizh no doubt about it there are excelent Su-27 skins out there, I can assure you. Aquarius_Varun is one of those good and talented skinners out there, he will for sure give you some skins. :wink:

EDIT: Nm, I found the limit to texture dismensions is 2048. If I resize the skin to 4096 then it looks missed up.

 

Btw aquarius, those are very nice Flanker skins. :)
