EDIT: SOLVED

I FIGURED OUT I JUST NEEDED TO RENAME THE VIEWPORTS (MFDS, RWR ETC) TO A CUSTOM NAME FOR EACH AIRCRAFT. THEN ADD THEM INTO MY MONITOR CONFIG FILE, POSITION THEM RIGHT AND VOILA. ALL IS GOOD.

I'd like to be able to have a single .Lua for my monitor configuration for exporting multiple planes MFDs etc without having to switch and restart my DCS. I just started using Ikarus, and it's nice that it changes cockpit if I change plane, but I'd like the MFDs to export as well.

Specifically, I fly the Mirage and Hornet, and I'd like to learn the harrier.

So is this possible?

The F18 in red shows the left, right and centre MFD. While the blue shows the position of the Mirage MFD and rwr in comparison. I need one Lua that can put these in the right position when I'm in those planes, in relation to the cockpit. As the mirage radar exports as left_mfcd, the lua gets confused with one for the F18 and one for the mirage, and thus shows nothing. Is it possible to rename the exports to unique identifiers?

Cheers!

If I understand you correctly then yes, it's possible. I only have one monitor config lua file that I use for all planes.

Left_MFCD and Right_MFCD settings work for A-10C, Harrier, F18, F-15 radar, su25t schval

You can add almost any MFCD to the config file and then place it where you like, for example I have a third entry F18_Centre_MFCD, another for viggen radar, and gazelle viviane, ka-50 schval, haven't had much luck changing FC3 aircraft stuff though.

I'm not on my main computer or I'd copy and paste it here for you to see.

Some good info in this thread

Oh, some might need the odd mod to get to export, for example, Gazelle Viviane Export I found here

http://www.simulatedwarishell.co.uk/2016/08/dcs-world-sa342-gazelle-viviane-tv.html?m=1

which is also explained here

This is exactly what I'm after. The only issue is that say the left mfcd for the Hornet is a different position than the left mfcd on the Mirage, as they are different position s on my graphical representation of the cockpit on my second screen. So I need a seperate reference in the Lua for each.
