OB 2.5.4 - setting controls leads to black screen

I was trying to setup controls in 2.5.4 OB but I am encountering a black screen. The steps are as follows:

1. Open Controls in main menu

2. Select AV8

3. Clear all controllers sections (inputs and axis) in order to setup my custom commands.

4. Set no specific control and hit ok to return to main menu

5. The result is a black screen.

6. Return to desktop possible only by Task Manager and forced close of DCS.

I have tested on 2 different computers on two different accounts with exact same behavior.

Hope it is clear enough and can be reproduced with ease.

I had this when I first got the AV-8B and was setting up my controls for the first time. I honestly haven't seen it sense then, but that might have to do with the controls being setup.

Until this is completely eliminated, I would suggest simply starting a mission --or setting one up specifically for this-- and while in the cockpit press <Esc> and setup your controls from there.

I've never had an issue from within a mission.

It's a well-known bug in Razbam's modules. When the configuration file doesn't exist yet and the user tries to configure a module from the main menu, DCS crashes.

Somehow it creates the configuration file from within a mission, but fails to do so from the main menu. It can be any type of mission.

I don't think DCS crashes when you press save. It simply fails to return to options menu and displays a black screen.
