The views as seen in typical youtube are both different (gray scale) and clear whilst I`m getting nowhere fast. The Mav view starts up as shown and unable to at least change polarity assuming that's the issue. Not much clarity in the right screen unless press face to it.

 

What am I missing ?

Any gray scale MFD's that you've seen on youtube for the AV-8B are from early wip builds i.e.

 

Note: ED are working on better FLIR, so it's likely to change again sometime in the future.
