Snuffy Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 HI! Just got Normandy and the WW2 Assets 3 days ago and everything installed flawlessly. Thank you. I've spent the last two days far too long in the mission builder constructing flights and figuring out the mission builder etc. I've seen what appears to be a flaw in the B-17 AI. This is between waypoints with changing elevations. What I was expecting to see was a nice even Hypotenuse line from one waypoint to the next, but what I see in game is the bombers fly a relatively low slope, if any until they're almost on top of the next and higher waypoint where all of a sudden they turn into A.O.A. on elevation changes some to 15 or more degrees and rapidly losing energy and dropping from their level flight speeds of around 150 MPH, to below sustainable speeds for that steep of a climb. Can we have this looked at and have the math in the AI worked out that should an elevation change in waypoints occur, that it calculates what the hypotenuse is and fly that angle. So say I put an elevation change of 500 feet between waypoints that are 40 miles apart the AI should calculate that from the first to the second it needs to climb steadily between the points and not wait till the last minute then try to do the stair way to heaven thing where energy bleeds off and the planes fall from sky. Thanks.
FAB Maverick Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 same here. I was creating a mission and put them to fly 300kts and 20.000ft. What happened it was flying 2700ft and 150kts. On wp change, they seems to be a f18 with high AOA and altitude change... it's ridiculous.
