Captain Orso Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 If the upper lever indicated is the analog brake lever, what is the lower lever, which appears to be a separate unit? some1 Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 Another brake lever. Redundant in this configuration. It's not something sold by Virpil. Captain Orso Posted December 30, 2018 Author Posted December 30, 2018 Thanks for your replies guys. I thought it might be too good to be true. *sigh* When you hit the wrong button on take-off System Specs. Sokol1_br Posted December 31, 2018 Posted December 31, 2018 As far I remember this lower brake lever was created when the owner of this BRD base use Warthog grip. He don't use pot or sensor in this lever axis, but an Load Cell.
Goblin Posted December 31, 2018 Posted December 31, 2018 Orso, this is my brake lever that I posted about in the Spitfire tail lock thread. I made that brake lever for my BRD-N base and Warthog grip, which does not have provisions for the analogue lever on he grip. In the pic in this thread I’m using the VPC MT-50 Grip on the BRD base.
Captain Orso Posted December 31, 2018 Author Posted December 31, 2018 Hey Goblin, I thought that looked too familiar to be a coincidence. I was hoping they might be making one as part of their T50 stick, and then I read that the T50 has an analog brake lever (that must be it, right?) :D:D:D , but that when used with a TM HOTAS it is only a push button, like the TM's stick  (whaaa...) Then I downloaded the T50 user's guide and saw that the paddle on the T50 is the analog lever (whaaa...) so what was the other lever doing on Virpil's illustration? :dunno: So now I'm up to speed, but no closer to finding a solution...... :cry_2: When you hit the wrong button on take-off System Specs.
