Birko
I've noticed a couple of bugs in the OB for the MiG-15 both regarding the nose light, so I've kept them together. Bug 1. Turning on the nose light causes flickering white light in the cockpit (sometimes not visible if the MiG-15 is stationary, but always appears when in motion). In the external view, flickering light is visible on the exterior too, mainly inside the nose, around the canopy, and the wing roots. Bug(?) 2. Switching on the circuit breaker for the nose light appears to also turn on a light in the cockpit someplace to the left of the pilot (just circuit breaker, nose light on/off doesn't affect this). Not certain if this is a bug, or a feature I don't know about. Will attach DxDiag and track. Thanks! Edit: sorry for not posting in the bugs section, I thought I hadDxDiag.txtmig 15 nose light bug.trk Edited January 6, 2019 by Birko

Lixma 06
Bug 2 is a 'feature' - the landing light circuit breaker also controls the light in the left console. God knows why. As for the flickering I could not reproduce it.
AeriaGloria
I got flickering Black Shark Den Squadron Member: We are open to new recruits, click here to check us out or apply to join! https://blacksharkden.com

Thank you! I was wondering if it was intentional. As for the flickering, it doesn't seem to occur if I have shadows on, but shadows are quite expensive so I usually do without. Cockpit global illumination doesn't seem to have an effect either way. Edited January 7, 2019 by Birko
Birko
Just bumping this. Has anybody else experienced light flickering when the noselight is on and shadows are off?
AeriaGloria
Also the instrument panel light on the left. Birko
If other people are getting this too, then I hope someone can pick up on this and fix it soon! Have a good day everyone.
rainyday
It seems this is not MiG-15 specific - I get the same behaviour in the Viggen too for example. A-10C Warthog | AJS-37 Viggen | F-5E Tiger II | Mig-15bis | MiG-19P Farmer

Birko
I hadn't noticed it in other aircraft because I've been too busy as of late to be flying more than one aircraft, so thanks for bringing that to my attention!
