martinistripes Posted January 12, 2019 Posted January 12, 2019 Has anyone posted a translation of the Russian text printed on the CM version of the T-50? Difficult to use Google Translate with technical stuff, especially when abbreviated. Valve Index | RTX 4080 (Mobile) | i9-14900HX @ 2.20 GHz | 32GB RAM
Lucky15 Posted January 13, 2019 Posted January 13, 2019 I thought they were just there to add 'cool factor' to the grip & make it more exclusive? Damned marketing ploys, worked on me too :) Not sure how useful they'd be once translated either, it's not like the T50 series is a true replica of a HOTAS in any Russian DCS plane, more 'inspired by'. Even This post isn't much help as not a lot of it matches what's printed on the handle. martinistripes Posted January 14, 2019 Author Posted January 14, 2019 I thought they were just there to add 'cool factor' No. The labels are functional to some degree at least. For example, top-right thumb button "привед к гориз" (горизонт) matches the top-right in-game thumb button on the MiG-29 and Su-27. Literally translated it means "Lead to horizon", the meaning being transition to level flight. "управл(ение) стробом" also marries up with the in-game controller and means Gate Control. Top centre hat switch has a label underneath it, "маневр" -which from my limited Russian knowledge would mean Manouver, and it's in the traditional place for trim control. So, the one's I've figured out so far make sense. Not just for 'cool' factor. I'd like to try mapping my controls as per the labels and see how well that works for me. :book: Valve Index | RTX 4080 (Mobile) | i9-14900HX @ 2.20 GHz | 32GB RAM
Seb71 Posted January 14, 2019 Posted January 14, 2019 Check the VKB MCG/MCG Pro grips. They are based on the same Su-57 grip and come in both English and Russian label versions (and the Russian labels are identical with the Russian labels from MongoosT-50 CM grip).
