Carrier Add-On question

I see some posts where there are tons of other aircraft, gear and people onboard the carrier. Where do I get these and how do I install them? Thanks

Under the mods section you can find the deck crew and gear (Or at least used to be they took down a bunch of mods).

 

The planes are all ready in game. You use the static object selector in the mission editor.

There is a box to select link to unit (Or something along thoes lines) and then use the drop down menu to select the CVN so there linked. you need to place each plane in what ever position you would like. Most naval aircraft have stowed positions so wings are folded etc.

 

I have not found a way to make a template so I have to add the effects each time I make a carrier group.

 

 

I found a youtube vid explaining it so you might want to try to search there. Im at work so I cannot link for you.

Static aircraft can be added in the Mission editor. The relatively new top-down view of the carrier (deck) and all other objects in the ME is a tremendous help here. Make sure to link the static aircrafts to the carrier through the LINK UNIT option and the box „OFFSET FIXATION“ is ticked.

 

The crew and gear are currently not available as objects in the default DCS. There is a mod out there where you can get them from with a nice workaround until we get these things from DCS at a later point.

You can add static models of DCS's aircraft using the mission editor

 

 

For deck crew, equipment, etc. you'll need to check the ED user files

 

i.e. the US Navy Deck Equipment mod.
