  1. I thought that SDE was due to resolution being TOO LOW!
  2. I am running off a NVME drive. hsth: I will reset the resolution to your setting. do you have issues reading the guages etc in the cockpit? And how do you overcome the "jaggies" on terrain? With MSAA turned off in the sim, it looks terrible. Also, seeing how you are running the same unit, would it be too much trouble for you to post your DCS / OpenXR and STEAM settings? My Screen Door Effect is killing me. Thank you
  3. I have managed to get rid of the jerking and pulsing. My only issue now is that my frame rates are a bit too low. Can you give me an idea on what settings I need to use inside OpenXR (in the sim Example ALT F2 etc) Without using MSAA in the sims settings, the jagged lines are atrocious.
  4. Where is the MOTION REPRODUCCTION setting? I am trying the suggestions you all posted
  5. I have worked on this for weeks now. DCS used to run great on my Valve Index but now, no matter which version I try (BETA - BETA Multi Threading or stable release) it is a stuttering ugly mess. I have watched virtually every video, read every article I can to try and nail down WHY this sim no longer works in VR. My Valve Index is brand new ( I had an older one ), all drivers are up to date and my system specs are as follows. OS-Windows 11 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 22621) (22621.ni_release.220506-1250) All system drivers up to date Processor: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-12900K (24 CPUs), ~3.2GHz 32GB Corsair RAM DirectX 12 3070 Ti NVIDIA GeForce RTX with Latest Driver Internet Speed = 480MBPS Download, 12MBPS Upload MY ISSUES: I can get the cockpit to look fine and run smooth. When I approach land, buildings or a ship, the sim pulses, stutters and it becomes unflyable. I have made hundreds of adjustments in STEAM VR, STEAM VR BETA, and using OpenXR etc while doing a complete shutdown of the sim to ensure the changes took effect. I received a new headset from VALVE for the sole purpose of using it on DCS. I am attaching some pics of my current settings for you to look at. Can someone PLEASE enlighten me as to what I am doing wrong? If I can't get it to work after this, I am saying goodbye to DCS and VR. Thank you null
  6. I run a Valve INDEX. I am having issues and was wondering what your thoughts are. I am using OpenXR toolkit and of course, I need to use Steam. I am using the Multi Threading BETA. I have the settings in DCS set to the recommended settings from here. DCS VR Settings & Optimization Guide (2023, Patch 2.8 Multi-threading) - GamersByNight I have STEAM set as the CURRENT OpenXR Runtime. My first question is "Are the settings in the STEAM VR BETA ( Inside the STEAM App ) still used? In other words, if I am using OpenXR Toolkit, what effect does the STEAM VR BETA settings have on the sim? Are they overridden by OpenXR? I am using 120hz refresh rate in SteamVR with motion smoothing turned off and I am getting stutters and some noticeable lag. I have adjusted terrain settings etc in DCS and still have this happening. Any suggestions on what to set the SETTINGS to? Secondly, what do you suggest I set my OpenXR Toolkit settings to? My system Specs: Operating System: Windows 11 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 22621) i9-12900K, ~3.2GHz DX12 32MB RAM NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti

  8. Greetings, I've had this issue thru multiple updates and can't figure it out. I can fly with the Oculus fine. Nice frame rates etc but my issue is that when I go into map mode (F10) and then exit, it tanks my FPS. It makes the sim unflyable. I have tried lowering my PD, updated all drivers, multiple switches thrown to try and find the cause and made changes to nVidia control panel. Still can't figure out the issue. Any ideas? Thanks
  9. Hey Sparky, I'm new to the mission editing and such as well. I use Oculus RIFT and I have major issues flying the sim at night. It's something I need to figure out. Is there a way to make this a day mission?
  10. I'm obviously not understanding the different install instructions for different mods so is there a program that will install these in the correct position? I tried to install a US NAVY DECK CREW mod and cant get it to work. Some of us are not computer programmers.
  11. I had been using easy comms but now have them turned off. I'm trying to understand a few things here and after reading tons, I still have a couple questions. 1) Typically, who do you communicate with using COMM 1 and also COMM 2? Are they set to where lets say COMM 1 would do all ATC and Comm 2 for wingman / tanker etc? 2) I loaded a mission someone made and no frequencies were listed. How do I know which frequency to dial in to communicate? I can pull up the airfield freq. but cant find the tanker or AWACS. Thanks for the help.
  12. I've been dealing with this for awhile and cant seem to figure it out. During a mission, after about 10 minutes or so I lose the ability to bring up the COMMS menu. I have this mapped as "" and also a button on my X-55. It has worked for a long time but now, I lose the ability to bring up the menu. I can't even bring it up using the \ key. It was happening during one mission so I figured there was an error in the mission but last night, it happened in another one. I have: Updated MB BIOS Updated Graphics driver. Switched around using different USB ports going from 2.0 to 3.0 with no change. DCS is updated. Gone thru to make sure no axis or button is dual assigned. I was thinking that it is the throttle but I can't even access it with the keyboard. Any ideas guys? Thanks
  13. Procrastinator... I sent you a PM. Still cant get comms to work.
