Yurgon Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 (edited) Like with the cold start lesson, a few notes and ideas. The biggest item, but I will repeat that below whenever it applies, is texts disappearing with no player input. I suggest to leave these on and have the player push spacebar after every item so that the player can always decide when to proceed. In each case, a text message and the VO should be added: "Press the SPACEBAR to continue". The only player controllable CE2 is set to skill "Client", and the user needs to select the single available client slot before the training starts. Suggest to set to skill "Player" so the player will spawn in Cockpit immediately. Information: "Welcome to the Taxi and Takeoff lesson...": Suggest to hold until spacebar. The pilot body blocks the view on several key systems. Suggest to inform the player how to switch it off as a second item after the introduction: "If you have the pilot body on, it will block your view on some of the aircraft's systems. You can press Right Shift + P to hide and show the pilot body at any time. Press the SPACEBAR to continue." Information: "The Eagle II is a short-wheelbase conventional...": Suggest to hold until spacebar. Information: "Before you taxi to the runway, ensure the CANOPY is LOCKED, MIXTURE..." Suggest to add additional orange indicator around status placard for canopy locked/unlocked status (but this one does already hold until spacebar, yay! ;)). Information: "You may now taxi to the runway, taxi straight...": Suggest to hold until spacebar. Information: "Ensure once more that the MIXTURE is set to full rich, PROPELLER...": Suggest to hold until spacebar. Information: "Ensure once more that the MIXTURE is set to full rich, PROPELLER...": Suggest to add additional orange indicator around status placard for canopy locked/unlocked status. Information: "Next, we will check the MAGNETOS and...": Suggest to hold until spacebar. Information: "An acceptable mag check is when...": Suggest to hold until spacebar. Edit: FYI, no remarks on the landing tutorial. Assuming players will learn the startup before the shutdown, there should be no surprises there. Plus, on approach through the gates, it's not plausible to wait for spacebar, or half the players will screw up the timings and complain that message X came waaaay too late. ;) Edited January 18, 2019 by Yurgon
