Donut Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 (edited) With the Tomcat needing the air start and GPU for startup, will these be modeled and included? Edited January 24, 2019 by =BJM= i5 7600K @4.8GHz | 1080 Ti | 32GB 3200MHz | SSD | DCS SETTINGS | "COCKPIT"
Shimonu Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 You mean if crew are going to run up to the aircraft and connect it?
macidcrook Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 I would image it will be like the other modules that need a ground crew. Heres a write up on how to start the f-14, ground crew stuff is pretty standard. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=230395 I think modeling the ground crew running around would be a dcs thing not a heatblur thing DCS WISHLIST: F4U-4, A-4M, A-1H(AD-6), OV-10A
Donut Posted January 24, 2019 Author Posted January 24, 2019 You mean if crew are going to run up to the aircraft and connect it? Sorry, should have been a little more clear...I am asking about the actual units and if they would be modeled and placed next to the aircraft while on the ramp. i5 7600K @4.8GHz | 1080 Ti | 32GB 3200MHz | SSD | DCS SETTINGS | "COCKPIT"
Charly_Owl Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 At the moment they're not physical objects... the only module that has a GPU model is the C-101 IIRC. All other modules have invisible GPU and air carts. Chuck's DCS Tutorial Library Chuck's Guides on Mudspike Chuck's Youtube Channel Chuck's Patreon

Manuel_108 Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 That was 18 months ago. I would be very surprised if they still plan to implement this for their Forrestal carrier. Most likely they will wait for ED to make progress on the carrier simulation. It’s definitely something to look forward to for 2020.

Donut Posted February 4, 2019 Author Posted February 4, 2019 I don't see any air start or GPU carts from ED in the static units list in the Mission Editor so hopefully Heatblur will add these at some point. Maybe they will be part of the Forrestal-class aircraft carrier when that is added. i5 7600K @4.8GHz | 1080 Ti | 32GB 3200MHz | SSD | DCS SETTINGS | "COCKPIT"
