I'm finding that if I use the AIM-9M's on the Harrier they seem very happy to go after flares, much more so than if launched from other aircraft.

If it's using a common game asset then that shouldn't be the case, so am I imagining it, or is anyone else seeing this too?

Work fine for me. But I don't do much A/A in the harrier.

Btw: It will be interesting to see when RAZBAM finally wants to implement the 2nd A / A mode for the Sidewinder ...

You mean DMT tracking for sidewinders? That would be great for target ID in VR.

Yes the ARBS should be able to get locked on air targets too, but so far I have wondered that how does it get locked on fast moving target. Didn't occur to me the idea to use a sidewinder seeker OR a FLIR (when boresighted) to detect the heat and lock ARBS on such moving target to get it identified visually.

Of course if it is just boresighted and locked on visual target, that is enough as well. But now when the ARBS can't track the moving targets but is ground locked, it is not so effective.
