fitness88 Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 It seems selecting the designate command then selecting the same command a second time undesignates? Why then are there 2 separate commands available? Thank you. I
Jansgi Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 Just an example: in TWS the first press of the designate starts tracking the target and a second press starts STT. So you use undesignate if you don't want to go STT. AMD Ryzen™ 5 5600X AMD Radeon™ RX 7800 XT G.Skill 64GB (4 x 16GB) Trident Z Neo DDR4 3600MHz
Svend_Dellepude Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 It will make more sense when the remaining radar modes and various systems have been implemented. Both commands are used for a number of different things in both AA and AG. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Win10 64, Asus Maximus VIII Formula, i5 6600K, Geforce 980 GTX Ti, 32 GB Ram, Samsung EVO SSD.
fitness88 Posted February 28, 2019 Author Posted February 28, 2019 Thanks for the info. The only difference I see when using un-designate over designate; when I have a locked target using un-designate button it will release the lock and leave the TDC acquisition cursor exactly where it is whereas using the designate button to un-designate will move the TDC acquisition cursor to the top left of the DDI.
