Warthog HOTAS question

i m developing an AV8 nozzle lever mod for the warthog hotas at the moment and plan to make it as non inversive as possible, fully 3d printable for home printers an not requiring electronics.

so i plan to use the friction slider on the right side on the hotas.

 

my question, to all that already opened their throttle, this slider has a center detent or something like that, will it be easy to remove this center stop? any ideas? plz

It is quite easy to do all of that. The detent is a small spring loaded button in the outside inner ring of the slider wheel. Simply pull it out and you are in business. I am making mine into the flap lever for the Tomcat. I cut the slider section from the throttle box and turn the slider over so side that holds the pot is now upside down. That enables me to attach that whole piece to the panels. Once you see it, it will make sense.
