Yeniceri Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 Does anyone knows where the f-35's flaps and airbrakes are? As i understand from pictures.. the ailerons are one piece..not like f-15 (half flaps, half aileron).. so where are they? SuperKungFu Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 download the AA-1 Testing montage under F-35 Test from this site http://www.jsf.mil/gallery/gal_video.htm# At one point, it will show the airbrakes being deployed, IIRC, it was parts of the tail and the wing...etc. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
D-Scythe Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 The F-35's airbrake is everything (rudders, flaps, etc.) - it doesn't have a dedicated airbrake like the F-15, or Flanker. The normal flaps and rudders and whatever are deployed to increase drag, and that's the airbrake.
Yeniceri Posted August 9, 2007 Author Posted August 9, 2007 thanks.. i dont need to model it than :) [sIGPIC]http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa200/misikci/41-imza-1.jpg[/sIGPIC] "To infinity...and beyond!.." SIM-MOD Modeler TURK!
D-Scythe Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 So its just like the F-22? Yes, airbrake operation is exactly the same as the Raptor.
Yeniceri Posted August 10, 2007 Author Posted August 10, 2007 if thats so.. is it possible to assign a part for 2 jobs? like when you press F the flaps open..and When you press B again the flaps open kind?..Even as i write that, it seems not possible..
