groundedforlife Posted March 15, 2019 Posted March 15, 2019 (edited) Is anyone else suffering through this same problem? F-14 module will not load. It either says failed to build metashader or it just freezes and I get a black screen behind the briefing and then it crashes. Edited April 1, 2019 by IronMike
Gracey Posted March 15, 2019 Posted March 15, 2019 Did you run the DCS Repair? Also you can delete the fxo and metashaders2 folders in your Saved Games/DCS.openbeta folder. that might help you out with that. It will just rebuild them when you run the game again. groundedforlife Posted March 15, 2019 Author Posted March 15, 2019 Thank you. I should have mentioned that I did that already. it's so bizarre. all the other modules work
Gracey Posted March 15, 2019 Posted March 15, 2019 What are your computer specifications? There are minimum requirements that should be at least met otherwise you can run into issues. Gracey's Village Always be yourself ~ Unless your can be a Unicorn, then be a Unicorn
SC86 Posted March 15, 2019 Posted March 15, 2019 In single player mine loads, takes a long time though. I can't even connect to multiplayer servers anymore, was pretty good before though. I have a shitty computer for gaming though so I should expect trouble I guess. DCS does this to me once in a while and I can't connect.

Gracey Posted March 15, 2019 Posted March 15, 2019 (edited) Maybe your Graphics card drivers are out of date? You could also run the RepairDCS from the start menu and try that. I had DCS completely re-download itself into the Bin folder twice over the other night somehow. Man I feel bad for the guys you either cannot run it, or have major issues with it. It really sucks. I guess all I can offer you is to check out the screen shots thread/play in SP Edited March 15, 2019 by Pony Gracey's Village Always be yourself ~ Unless your can be a Unicorn, then be a Unicorn
boscoh Posted March 15, 2019 Posted March 15, 2019 (edited) General stability issues, but not this specific one. I5 4670K @ 3.4Ghz, 16GB RAM, SSD, 2080TI. Played for 3 hours tonight, and 4 crashes. No logs generated, just a close to desktop. Rarely have issues with other modules. Edited March 15, 2019 by boscoh 3800X, X570, 32GB 3600, RTX 2080Ti, SSD, Odyssey+ VR
