Pikey Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 (edited) I've made a previous mission where all the waypoints appear on the TID. The country was USA, there were datalinks, other than that, every new F-14 had it's waypoints show up as normal in hot, cold and air starts. So... the problem is that I created a new mission as Iranian F-14, with no awacs or datalinks and did two cold starts and no issues but no waypoints appeared in the TID. The waypoints appear in the kneeboard. Tried the FP, TP, IP points, they appear also in the kneeboard, not in the TID I manually edited a waypoint and it appeared in the TID suddenly. So I believe this is a bug because I cannot see a reason for a difference in the behavior of the ME. The attached mission shows the issue.bombtest.miz Edited April 2, 2019 by IronMike ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *
Super Grover Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 Hey Pikey, The waypoints are loaded into the WCS only when using hot start or air start- it is assumed that the RIO stored them during the startup procedure. However, when you select cold start, the waypoints have to be stored manually, either by a human RIO in multilayer, or you switching to the RIO seat in single player, or Jester doing it for you in both single and multiplayer. Jester will be happy to assist you, and he will input all waypoints after he switches the NAV MODE knob to ALIGN. That's how it was done in real life- the F-14 didn't have any data cartridges which you could use to load some waypoints prepared prior to the flight. viper2097 Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 Wow, thats kinda "bad", but fine if it is the way it is. Not checked it yet, but I guess they are on the kneeboard? Am I right that they will be transfered at the carrier automaticly with the datalink? Steam user - Youtube I am for quality over quantity in DCS modules
Super Grover Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 Yes, the kneeboard will have them all for all start options. No data link waypoint transfer at the moment. It should come later. Krzysztof Sobczak Heatblur Simulations https://www.facebook.com/heatblur/

Now THAT is some helpful information, as a lot of guys (me included) were wondering about this in the last days.
