Hi how I can with jester lock a targhet enemy plane ( about 70/80 mn) ( I want fo fire my Aim 54C) ahead my F-14, I ask to jester to auto set range and auto set azimut and elevation, but jester doesn't clock nothing.

If the targets show up on the TID (repeat it on the bottom pilot display), they should have numbers next to them. That means the radar is in TWS auto mode and you can simply fire the Phoenixes and they will automatically cycle through each target and track them. Nothing more you need to do.

 

 

Note that blinking target icons means they are in a good range to fire.

Yes its work, I believe the radar track only aircraft in ahead position and pursuit position instead when the plane fly at 90° from me doesn't track boh...

A few ways to deal with a plane flying 90 degrees:

 

 

Switch to Pulse mode (PSTT - Jester should do this automatically most times), this works at shorter ranges but not super long range shots I think.

 

 

Or:

 

 

 

Put the bandit above you in altitude such that the radar antenna is looking over +3 degrees. This ought to automatically disable the notch filter. See http://www.heatblur.se/F-14Manual/general.html#pulse-doppler-mode
