QuiGon Posted March 26, 2019 Posted March 26, 2019 Has anyone had any success with IP bombing yet? I can't really make it work. :( It already starts with entering the offset data, because I don't know in what format I am supposed to enter the range information. Is it in ft or in nm or what is it? The manual doesn't say anything about it :dunno: Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
AvroLanc Posted March 26, 2019 Posted March 26, 2019 Nm to 2 decimal places and bearing from the ME seemed to work pretty well.

Will try that, thanks! It would be great if the manual would contain this information... Agreed the manual could contain more detail about a wealth of WCS systems. Basic airplane stuff I can get from the public natops, but finding out how esoteric weapons stuff is supposed to work is a nightmare. The problem I can see with IP bombing is that there’s no way to tweak your designation once the actual target comes into view. The designation is fixed from your IP and if it’s slightly out, you better get quick asking jester for COMPUTER PILOT.

All the flying I have done with the Tomcat so far (~40h) was in the backseat ;) Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
Rabso Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 (edited) IP delivery mode is working well with me, did many time. As mention use ME to get BRG, RNG (NM) and ALT (different between IP and target). Then dive into IP point (it should me somthing you can see it clear) and designate it as target, the diamond will then move to your offset data.
