I want to freshly install DCS but I dont want to configure keybinds and HOTAS controls for the F-14 and F-18 again.

Where do I find the file, so I can copy and paste it after the installation?

Is it one file for both planes or does each have it's own?

Each aircraft has its own folder for its controls, the path is /Users/{your user}/DCS/Config/Input/ like this:

For each aircraft, DCS stores one file for each Hotas, mouse, keyboard and headtracker that your PC has. In the case of the Hotas, DCS appends to each filename the Windows' USB IDentification, like this:

.. if you reinstall Windows this ID will change and so, even if you backup this file it wont be useful right away. That's why I have two files .. its the same Hotas, but I recently reinstalled Windows (to move it onto another drive) and so the USB ID changed.

The files actually dont store all the bindings that your aircraft has, but rather it only stores the changes you did from the default configuration .. that's why my Hotas file has only 74 lines:

Edit:

You dont need to reinstall DCS for any reason, as it has an excellent utility that compares each one of your files and will re-download only those that are missing or corrupt .. its DCS_Updater.exe and its much much faster that redownload everything from scratch.
