Only that the Russian company in Russia can't do it, but ED office outside of the Russia can do it, and any third party studio can do it. So the exact explanation why a Russian based company can't do anything that Soviet Union/Russia has, but a other country can do, is still unclear. To do something, the studio needs to have a license from the manufacturer as well the license and agreement with the Eagle Dynamics. Eagle Dynamics needs to get all the data that the studio does use, so they can confirm and test all the code and all that. So in the final end, ED is responsible for the Flight Modeling, Weapons, System simulations etc, as they are the ones who is cross-checking everything is working as the official manuals, information etc is stating it should work. That is why I do not get it, why a Russian company wouldn't be in a far better position to get contract with the russian weapons manufacturer but a foreign country based private company has it... Of course if there is a Russian law that "No russian company can access anything national defence related information" then it is so. FlankerMan Posted April 9, 2019 Author Posted April 9, 2019 No, I don't mean a skin. The current AI Su-30 is not as capable (or as cool-looking) as the Su-30MKI&co. They have more pylons, more weapons types, better radar, better engines, and TVC, as well as canards. Having them for AI would be good, even though flyability would be perfect.
