    Su-27M

Yes, but its not full fidelity with a clickable cockpit that I know of. That's why a full fidelity F-15C has been one of the top requested aircraft for years even though there is already a decent Flaming Cliffs 3 version.

The Su-27S would be far more useful as you pointed out being classified as a 1980's cold war era aircraft that would further contribute to balancing the era that is currently the most fleshed out.
  3. Seems like they have limited knowledge on knowing how to code for only one sim. If AzurPoly is not in a position to make that expansion then they should try to partner with other 3rd parties that do know how to code for DCS. As good as HeatBlur is they were also not in a position to bring their Tomcat to MSFS alone so they partnered with India Foxt Echo to help them do it. Other 3rd parties like Flying Iron simulations work on both. Below is the latest update that Flying Iron put out. Hey guys! I apologize for the lack of updates, I know everyone’s been really eager to hear some news and we’ve had my head in the sand a little bit. Sorry about that! The module is still very much in active development; we have just been quiet as far as news and updates to try and reduce our workload a little bit, but we can see that’s getting abit frustrating and we need to do better with our communication. Right now our time is split roughly 50/50 between DCS & MSFS; as you might have guessed already we rely on our MSFS work to continue funding development of the A7 and so it does require us to split our time between the 2 sims, at least at this stage. After our upcoming release for MSFS 2024, we will then be pivoting to place the full team back onto the A7 to significantly speed up the development process. Currently I am continuing to put alot of hours into the A-7 codebase & have begun collaborating with ED to work on the Terrain Following & Terrain Avoidance radar modes. The last few weeks have been spent doing some optimizations, refactoring & cleanup and improving the robustness of the code base. Not the most exciting thing, but essential for a smooth & bug-free module! More significantly I spent some time developing a new Lookup-Table system, which powers a vast amount of aircraft systems and flight model data underneath the hood. By breaking away from the traditional index-based iterative search methods (eg the CPU must search through all 50 data points in a 50-point table to find the correct value) we’ve been able to develop a mathematical index system that is able to calculate and find the correct data point in a single call. I’ll explain this in more detail in our first mini-update in a few weeks. TLDR: The heaviest parts of our codebase have been optimized to run significantly faster! With all that said, I’ll be doing my best to post some sort of monthly mini-update here in our discord server to keep you all in the loop with how the module is progressing, and hopefully help ease some of the frustration of waiting. I’ll also be doing one of my detailed dev reports, but not for another few months when we have some breathing room. I hope you can understand and as always thank you so much for continuing to support us! All of your messages, activity, requests for news and just general love for the A7 absolutely does not go unnoticed – it’s a constant reminder of just how passionate the DCS & A7 community is, and it gives us the motivation & reassurance to see this project through to the end, even when it seems difficult. So thank you all, truly Dan from the Flying Iron Simulations team on Discord
  4. For those that what AzurPoly to bring the Jaguar to DCS, I recommend letting them know your interest. Here is their Facebook link where you can chime in. https://www.facebook.com/AzurPoly/photos/jaguar-trailerafter-months-of-hard-work-we-are-excited-to-announce-that-our-sepe/1195196372614414/?_rdr
  5. I haven't heard anything in relation to the P-38. But Flying Iron did recently put out ann update on their current projects. Hey guys! 6. Here is a good DCS cinematic video of how DCS would look like in the Vietnam era complete with period correct sound tracks.
  7. Sorry for the confusion. Its not on their channel. Here is the link to Heatblurs Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/heatblur

    F-16A

There was a big news announcement in relation to this thread made a few days ago. Heatblur has announced on their FB page that they will be working with IndiaFoxtEcho to bring the F-16A to MSFS. They stated that they currently do not have plans to bring it to DCS but they would be open to the possibility depending on the interest. So if you really want the F-16A to come to DCS now is your chance to make your desires known to Heatblur.
  9. These were my same thoughts. An early F-16A would be more useful to just be able to use an F-16 in cold war scenarios. Plus the early Vipers had a lighter and more agile flight dynamics from what I have read.
  10. I guess that's what was possible to do at this point in time. In most cases the hold up lies on getting a licenses and enough data to be able to develop a FF module. From what I know it cost a huge amount of money to develop a model from scratch if very little date exist for it. ED has so far only spent the necessarily money on wind tunnel tests and other to do the P-47 because they felt it was worth the investment because it would be a very popular warbird. So its not that easy to just pick a plane at will and develop it unless it will be an arcade style game.
  11. This request has come up several times over the years and for good reason. The first time I ejected over water I was shocked that the pilot drowned instantly just like it used to happen in the older versions of GTA from 20 years ago. I definitely would like to see at a minimum an automatic inflatable life saver and green dye just like when Maverick and Goose ejected in their infamous flat spin incident.
  12. As mentioned by cfrag this mechanic would not not be worth implementing with DCS's current state. I myself have ejected many times flying over battle fields in other first person shooters. Except in those games the distances were not that big because the maps were of medium size where it was not too bad to hike it to the nearest ground vehicle to get a ride back to base.
  13. I can understand the resentment. But at least now you can look forward to a FF MiG-29A that will continue to be updated and refined just like the rest of the FF modules. So you will defiantly get your moneys worth for years to come.
  14. You should had gotten your answer as to just how unfeasible simulating the EX would be from one of those videos when they stated that "The F-15EX has one of the most ADVANCED warfare suites ever installed in a fighter"
  15. ED has mentioned in the past that they do have plans to be able to do walk arounds and then climb in.
  16. I was actually thinking of this the other day. I already have a few fighter jet t-shirts, but would like something that shows that I am a DCS pilot that specializes in a particular favorite aircraft.
  17. I think the future will get better for REDFORE vs BLUFOR battles with the addition of the Mig-17, Mig-23 and Mig-29. In my opinion the Vietnam era could be one of the most ideal eras to have a good balanced forces once the Vietnam map comes.
  18. I hope that someone creates a flyable mod of the S-3 using that AI variant. Then for it to eventually be develop into a full fidelity module.
  19. I agree that it would be more ideal to start with a medium bomber first, that will eventually evolve to large bombers. In my opinion the B-25 would be an ideal candidate to expand into multi crew medium bombers.
  20. I will now hopefully close this thread with the previous post that was perfectly fitting.
  21. The F-20 has come up on this forum multiple times. Unfortunately it has little chances of making it to DCS as a FF modules by the current developers simply because it never served with any military. There fore little data is is known about it outside of Northrop engineers and the test pilots evolved with that project. However it could be a possibility if a capable developer decides to take it on as a passion project and has luck getting a data and a license from NorthropGruman to do it.
  22. I have also thought that it would be a good idea to add earlier variants of those aircraft so that they could fit better into the cold war ear that is a more fleshed out than BVR. This is not the first or second time this topic has come up. Below is one of the most recent discussions about it that you will find interesting.
  23. This is not the first time this request has come up. Check out the below thread for some interesting info on the topic. And in reference to the F-35 you have to take into consideration that those aircraft have a ton of classified data as is while its in service. Plus another 20-30 years after its retired for that data to possibly be declassified. Then on top of that Lockheed Martin happens to own the majority of the data rights to the F-35. Which has caused a monopoly on who can service certain system on it. Which is another reason why the Air Force has already been looking for a replacement. See the below article for the full story. So its going to be a very long wait before the F-35 becomes feasible to simulate for DCS. https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/avoiding-f-35-acquisition-malpractice-aim-of-next-gen-air-dominance-fighter
  24. That is why I said "early" variants like the EA-6A not the more advanced EA-6B since most of the 6A's were retired in the 1970's.
