Habu_69 Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 I find the aircraft very difficult to control after releasing a relatively light-weight AIM-9, especially pronounced while dogfighting with no AG weapons loaded. I certainly recognize that the missile release results in asymmetric wing loading, and roll trim does mitigate the problem somewhat, but, wow, I really have to work hard to regain control and the nose wants to wander all over the place. Has anyone encountered this issue and learned how to overcome it? Maybe release 2 missiles, wasting 1.
ravenzino Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 I do waste one when trying to land somewhere... It certainly not the right way in RL I confidently assume... :D Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk i9-9900K, G.Skill 3200 32GB RAM, AORUS Z390 Pro Wifi, Gigabyte Windforce RTX 2080 Ti, Samsung 960 Pro NVMe 512G + 860 Pro 1T, TM Warthog HOTAS, VKB T-Rudder, Samsung O+ F/A-18C, F-16C, A-10C, UH-1, AV-8B, F-14, JF-17, FC3, SA342 Gazelle, L-39, KA-50, CEII, Supercarrier Preordered. Harker Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Can't say it's been a problem before (previous roll bug notwithstanding), but I do think the Hornet is a little less stable under asymmetric loadout since yesterday's update. I agree, it was very noticeable before, but yesterday I had to trim really hard after dropping a JDAM. Dima | My DCS uploads
